A new must-have cable for every computer bag: the DualJack lets you connect an iPhone / iPod / iPad and has a secret built-in micro-USB connector too. Incredibly helpful!

An interesting design for an iPhone dock. If I had an office job, I think this would be the dock I'd want by my computer. What do you think? Ps: it's a kickstarter project, so if you'd like one, do pledge a few $$

Playing with a Logitech Cube and it's pretty darn sweet. Tiny and surprisingly precise wireless travel mouse.
An Internet radio that's cool? Yup, I really love being able to listen to BBC Radio 2 at the push of a button too. Check out my review...

Congrats to Colorado-based Archos for the release of its $129 7-inch ChildPad. Looks like a nice alternative to constantly borrowing Dad's iPad... :-)
Don't have a source for these, unfortunately, but love these fun stickers for your electrical outlets...

I hope my daughter appreciates the time I'm spending rebuilding her computer. Last step: upgrade to Lion. Mrow!

Robert Reich I was surprised how many steps and trips to apple this process took.
Justin Rosenthal Yep me too. Was upgrading from Snow Leopard and had to do the two-step.
Dave Taylor It was an interesting journey. Had to get a Torx screwdriver to replace the hard drive in her computer, then I realized that her CDROM drive was failing so ended up using my MacBook Pro in "target" mode as a remote drive. Had to then format the disk, install Snow Leopard, upgrade Snow Leopard, upgrade iTunes, download the App Store, download Lion, install Lion and, finally, we're up and running. Lots of shuffling, for sure. Took plenty of time...
Justin Rosenthal Woah. That's way more drama than I had.
Been enjoying a Romanian jazz station for a week or so with an evaluation Pure ONE Flow wifi Internet radio they sent along. It's surprisingly cool, but possibly a bit spendy for what it is...
Now that I have it all working, I have to say that I am really growing to love my web-controllable Nest Labs thermostat!

New toy from Sony on the way to our offices: it's a 3D personal video device. Too bad I'm not flying anywhere to test it out in the next fortnight. :-)

New Craftsman AssureLink garage door opener installed and now I can check the status of the garage door -- and close it, if need be -- from right in my Web browser. Cool.

It's a sure bet something's wrong with my NEST thermostat when I wake up to a chilly 59F in my house. Tech en route to diagnose. Brrrrr...

BeckySue~ DesignsByBSB ohh what happens when the cable goes down?!
Dave Taylor Nothing. It works as a standard thermostat if the network's down.
Audio light bulbs -- speakers that screw in to light sources and can wirelessly transmit sound from docked ipods. I'm trying to get one for my kitchen!

Dave Taylor Dug into it further and it's $299 and has a rather huge dock and LED lights. Not compatible with my kitchen dimmer and I don't have space on my counter for yet another dock. Ah well.
Patrick O'Keefe Interesting technology, in any case.

Belkin Mini Surge Protector with USB Charger. Cool, but a bit big to toss into your computer bag all the time.
cool design for a knife set, though I'd worry about getting cut pulling them apart.
