Great starting points for conversations with children. Perhaps children will share more with the right question.
from kellyrae's blog "Whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it's because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It's your mission on earth. And when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." - Paulo Coelho

Blessing bags (keep in car to give to homeless). What a wonderful idea and a great way to show someone compassion!
Keep it on the wall and write on it whenever youre feeling blessed or grateful....this would be cool with "grateful" embroidered, then put in a frame....would this work better than the jar we never did?

would be fun to do the month of their birthday...writing all the things we love about them or the month of Nov...writing all the things we are thankful for. The creator writes:"What I love is that each morning, Charlotte and Amelia rush to their envelopes to see what we've written. The notes are sometimes a simple observation of a charitable act or a quick drawing to make them laugh. I love that Charles and I force ourselves to take a minute each evening to think about why we love our children. It's my version of Oprah's gratitude journal.
LOVE this idea. calendar journal: write down something you did each day. "first year is the least rewarding, but I imagine that in 10 years, it will be a daily treat to be reminded of what happened on that date.."
