We decided to give the girls a Year of Dates for Christmas this year – an envelope for each month, with a special surprise date inside. We brainstormed date ideas and came up with a variety of fun activities. Some are outings, while some are doing projects at home. We also tried to keep them fairly inexpensive.

Pampering in a jar. So you have an extra Mason Jar and some friends who you want to make something fun for. Put some nice warm fuzzy socks in there, some lip balm, a small thing of hand lotion or bubble bath, and some chocolates. A little bit of ribbon and a tag after you put them into the jar and voila! You have a lovely gift and they are happy you thought of them and you are happy you could make them something fun and unique!
