Vinegar uses: (1) Remove bacteria and pesticide residue from produce - Use 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water, wash produce thoroughly. (2) Clean windows and countertops - Use a 50% water and vinegar mixture to clean windows and countertops. (3) Remove shower and bathtub film - Use vinegar full strength on an old wash rag. (4) Toilet bowl stains - Use white distilled vinegar full strength with a scrubber. (5) Furniture polish - Use a 50% olive oil and vinegar mixture and polish furniture with a soft cloth. Be sure to test furniture in an inconspicuous spot first because vinegar is acidic. (6) Clean microwave - Utilize 1/4 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water in a bowl. Place in the microwave and cook until boiling. Immediately wipe interior of microwave. (7) Wash no-wax floors - Add 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar to a half-gallon of warm water. Mop or scrub floor. (8) Clean kitchen cutting boards - Use vinegar full strength on cutting boards. (9) Wash grass stains out of fabric - Use a 1/3 cup vinegar and 2/3 cup water mixture. Apply to stain and blot. (10) Remove molds and mildew - Use a 50% water and white vinegar mixture for light mildew stains, and full strength white vinegar to kill heavier mildew and mold growth.

Who knew? Instead of using extra laundry detergent to pre-treat, we turn to our old school friend: white chalk. Simply rub onto greasy stains and the chalk powder will absorb the grease, making the stain easily removable by the laundry soap in the wash.

The only SPOT REMOVER you may ever need ~ Mix one part Dawn dish washing liquid with two parts hydrogen peroxide; pour or spray it directly on the stain, and watch it disappear like MAGIC.

1.Put shaving cream on your feet. 2.In a bucket or sink, combine equal parts warm water and Listerine. 3.Soak a small hand towel in the solution of water and Listerine. 4.While the shaving cream is still on your feet wrap the wet hand towel around your feet and let it sit for 30 minutes. 5.After 30 minutes, use the towel to rub your feet. Some of the calloused and discolored skin will rub off. 6.Apply a healthy amount of lotion to your feet. After your foot bath, is it a good idea to spend at least 5 minutes drying your feet. You want to make sure you do not put your socks and shoes on with your feet still wet or damp (this can cause bacteria growth and infection). Use a towel to pat your feet dry and be sure to get in between the toes. Also, give your feet a break from sandals (don't wear them every day) and apply lotion to your heels nightly to reduce cracking. You can only use this method once a week or your feet will become very sore. Remember, this technique literally takes off a layer of skin.

Here's a nontoxic but effective way to clean your tub: Add one teaspoon of liquid soap and several drops of an antibacterial essential oil (such as tea tree, eucalyptus, rosemary, or peppermint) to one cup of baking soda. Add just enough water to form a paste, and use it with a sponge or brush to scour bathtub surfaces.

Take your favorite liquid fabric softener and soak an old hand towel or flour cloth completely with it. Wring it out and let it dry completely, then throw it in with your next load. Vanilla Extract 101 - Clean the microwave and leave it smelling sweet with this household trick! Mix 2 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a microwave-safe container, and zap it on high for five minutes. When it's done, remove the container and wipe down the interior of the oven. Any gunk should slide right off.

Lemonade Kool-Aid as Dishwasher Cleaner Clean lime deposits and iron stains inside the dishwasher by pouring a packet of lemonade Kool-Aid (the only flavor that works) into the detergent cup and running the (empty) dishwasher. The citric acid in the mix wipes out stains; you don't have to.
