Create a frosty winter look with silver hurricanes. Adhere snowflake or other swirling motif stickers to the outside of a glass hurricane. In a well-ventilated area, spray with silver metallic paint. When dry, peel off the stickers to reveal the pretty unpainted shapes beneath.
Love this idea! -- from left to right: a large milk glass plate {did i mention i collect them?}, snowball candle from PartyLite, 2×4 wood snowmen, snow sweater pillow, wood snowflake {had for years, spray painted blue}, and cotton balls and snowball candles in apothecary jars. {used E6000 to glue candle sticks and jars together to make}.

Glittery Snowflake Wreath - For an easy wreath in a flash, use premade snowflake ornaments (fiberglass or resin ornaments look especially frosty) and a flat foam wreath. Remove the string hangers from the ornaments and position on the wreath. Once you're satisfied with the arrangement, hot-glue the snowflakes into place. Thread wide ribbon (we layered red on top of white here) through the wreath and hang.
Love the look of ornaments hing from chandelier by ribbon!

I'd love to use these colors to decorate for Christmas in the master bedroom!
Cookie Centerpiece Transform decorative cookies into a distinctive winter centerpiece that looks good enough to eat.
Make a gift card more personal by tailoring the wrap to the item. Here, a home-store certificate nestles in a prettied-up paint can. For a manicure, use a cosmetics bag; for DVDs, try a popcorn box.
Wrap wire around foam cone to make tree. The Dollar Store has some great thick wire right now, or copper wire from Home Depot would work, nice and thick.
