Carve pumpkins using cookie cutters and a big old mallet! Why didn't I think of that?!?
Witch Hat Lamp Shade - What you'll need: X-acto knife, black foam core, 8"-diameter mixing bowl, 2.5"-wide black ribbon, scissors, tape, lamp shade, hot-glue gun, 2.5"-wide purple ribbon, buckle, lamp - Make it: 1. Use knife to cut a circle from foam core at least 5-6" wider than bottom of lamp shade. 2. Use bowl to trace a circle in the center and cut out with knife. 3. Cut about 5' length of black ribbon. Tape one end to the inside of shade, then wrap ribbon around shade, overlapping as you go. Continue until fully covered, and tape the other end to inside of shade. 4. Center shade onto foam ring, and add one line of glue where lamp shade meets foam. 5. Cut three pieces of purple ribbon about 6' long and braid them. Thread buckle onto braid. 6. Glue braid to base of shade, trim and tie excess ribbon in back, and place onto the lamp.
