The antidote to the Twilight series. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian gives a peephole into what it is like to grow up on a reservation in Washington State, and it does it with humor and style. Love the drawings.

One of my all-time favorite books. Beryl Markham was a remarkable woman - and aviator and racehorse trainer who grew up in Africa in the 20's. Her writing is poetic and inspiring. Even Ernest Hemingway praised this book.

This is a modern classic for a reason: eye opening, heart wrenching and poetic all at the same time.

Even if you don't care about baseball (I don't) this story about how thinking differently about what success looks like and reinventing a baseball team is just fascinating.

A light, fun read by a truly extraordinary man. And a great reminder about what it really means to be "smart"
Loved, loved, loved this book. The writing is almost poetic.

Tracy Kidder's books are always so intricately researched and well written. Now that my kids are school-aged, I need to make time to re-read this one.
This one takes some work to get into, but once I got going, I didn't want to put it down.

If you've dreamed of packing up your family and moving to Paris, this is a light and beautiful read.
I'm rereading this right now. I just want to wrap this book around me like a big, warm, Russian blanket.

This book is like a puzzle - it jumps around in time with the different characters and disconnected stories bumping into one another at points. I liked it so much that I read it twice in a row in order to figure it all out.

Funny, I didn't love this when I read it, but 6 months later, I still can't stop thinking about this author's view of the future
I could read Elizabeth Strout all year long.

Patricia Jenkins We had mixed reviews on this book at my book group. But I am on your page, I was absorbed from page one.

Jamie & Jen Oh, I just LOVE this book and haven't thought about it in so long. Do you also love 84 Charing Cross Road?
Debbie Dubrow I haven't read that one - I just added it to my wish list. Sadly, there's no kindle version yet.
Patricia Jenkins Best book by Ann Patchett, her others don't begin to compare.
