We love how the creeping Jenny has spread throughout this garden bed to create the perfect carpet of chartreuse.
Brunnera ‘Jack Frost’ which turns out to be the 2012 Perennial Plant of the Year (as chosen by the Perennial Plant Association, who else?) This plant is perfect for shade and its real beauty is in its leaves. The common name “heartleaf brunnera” leads you in that this perennial has heart-shaped leaves which are frosty silver with light green veins. ‘Jack Frost’ also gives the added advantage of floating stalks of forget me not blue flowers from mid to late spring.
