Nadia Herbst-Mcconnell Love this pin, Dianna! Piper just discovered a ton of chapter books that I bought her when she was little, knowing one day she would love them. I see them out all the time now and it is so much fun to find her loving some of the same books I did when I was in elementary school (although I will say she is reading things now that I didn't read until 4th grade). :)
Dianna Kennedy We LOVE LOVE LOVE chapter books! We're working on On the Banks of Plum Creek now, and listening to How to Train yYour Dragon. Speaking of which -- we read My Father's Dragon, which is AMAZING!

Welcome to Weather Wiz Kids®. I'm meteorologist Crystal Wicker. I designed this website especially for kids to allow them to learn more about the fascinating world of weather. It’s also a wonderful educational website for teachers and parents to give them the right tools to explain the different types of weather to children.

TEABAG ROCKET: Amaze your kids! How it works: “Everyone knows that hot air rises and this experiment demonstrates that idea as well as the principles of convection currents. As the tea bag burns, hot air is being created, as well as a thermal, or convection current, under the bag. When the tea bag burns down into a small enough ball of ashes, the convection current causes it shoot up in the air.” [Quoted directly from Steve Spangler Science.] I think I may have my husband do this with the kids!
