I used to be terrified of cooking. I started cooking with my boyfriend and actually discovered how fun and relaxing it is. I love having people over and organizing parties, so hopefully you'll get to taste my "beginners" food someday :)

Melissa Carter tried it. my toaster shuts off automatically. safety feature. if yours doesn't shut off, i'd suggest changing toasters. just use the broil in your oven.

sj it's actually not that bad if you use a not-runny cheese. I do it at work occasionally, where I have no broiler handy. I DO, however, have a fire extinguisher handy. And I would not do this on *much* older model toasters.

I went to my first cooking class last night - Thai food. We made Chicken Pad Thai, Pumpkin Red curry , Thai Iced Tea and Sticky mango for dessert. There were 10 of us. Hosted by Culture Kitchen. The class was taught by Suparvadee , amazing Thai woman !! Here's what we made!

Divya Silbermann (Bhaskaran) i made this last night. amazingly delicious and really easy to make. Only correction - not very healthy. The bacon has some fat, the pasta is carbs and the sun-dried tomato has a lot of sodium. But the Kale is healthy and yummy!

Ben Silbermann So these were really really good. I think what's interesting is the high percentage of brown sugar in the recipe vs. tollhouse recipes. Tasty all around. Highly recommended.

Divya Silbermann (Bhaskaran) I made this last night. Delicious! I did not have Harissa, but added Garam masala instead. I added yellow peppers to the dish and fresh cubed lemon's since i did not have preserved lemon's. Side: Raita as usual :)
