Mercedes Sullivan oh man that new Britax one looks super awesome! We have the city mini and absolutely love it but would totally get the Britax if I had a baby now! The one hand fold is soooo helpful.
Rebecca Silbermann @Divya Silbermann (Bhaskaran) That is a really thorough review! And that stroller looks really great! I totally agree with Mercedes that the one-hand fold on the city mini is unbeatable. However, I wouldn't buy the stroller because it comes with the car seat adapter unless you definitely really love the infant seat (or unless the adapter works with other infant seat brands). We had the Britax Companion which we really really liked, but it was HEAVY. (And I'm saying that as a complete Britax snob -- we have 4 other Britax carseats currently in use in our household...)
Divya Silbermann (Bhaskaran) I thought the same thing - they did not have the Britax infant car seats in the store so i really have no idea how heavy they are but Ben is totally sold on this and he's done a terrific amount of research. @Rebecca Silbermann what Britax car seat do you have that you love/and is light?
Rebecca Silbermann We have 2 marathons and 2 roundabouts now-- 1 of each type from the "old" 2008-9ish generation, the others from 2010-11. I like the older ones a lot better. But they aren't light. I think i was wrong above-- the infant seat we had may have been the now extinct britax chaperone, but the companion looks a lot like it. We chose it knowing about the weight, but because we really liked the anti rebound bar on the base and the extra neck/head support thingy. The high weight max also was considered, but didn't turn out to be an issue at all for us, as our stamina for carrying the thing gave out long before either kid outgrew it. You kind of ave to find a bunch that you can lift and imagine straddling with in your car to really get a sense.
Be Prepared: A Practical Handbook for New Dads by Gary Greenberg, Apparently dad's love this book becuase everything you need to know is easy to find and only a few paragraphs long to read. I think i have to buy this.

Jen Boynton Any fabric store, or even hardware store SHOULD carry heavy duty hook(Velcro). I got sticky backed velcro from JoAnn's, and it works famously!
Jenn Tucker We just used some of that no-skid, squishy (sorry - can't recall the formal name) drawer liner underneath. Works like a charm and we can use the dresser by itself later when she gets older. There's a great toddler bed available from a non-IKEA source that "matches". It's pinned to my Baby Girl board, I think.

Fazila Khan To be honest... the Ikea high chair is good enough. Stokke's design is lovely but I'd rather spend my money on things Z actually wants!
B ChaCha I've used this through all three of my children and my daughter still uses it at her desk and she's 7. I love it and an IKEA chair would not last that long, be that versatile, strong, and good looking.
RP Pins Get it. If you can find an old style one (pre 2006), get that.. the newer ones have all the crazy safety standards (plastic thingy etc)... old ones are better. both my girls use their everyday (they are 8 and 6 now!)
Rhiannon Bingham Ha the plastic 'thingy's' are on the bottom of the feet and are there because there was safety issues with the original ones toppling forward (bad advice ;))

Ben Silbermann Hm, I'm not sure. I think they are probably pretty similar. The differences pointed out in that video Diana posted were pretty minor
Mercedes Sullivan Very cool stroller. I am sad the Britax was not available a few years ago, even the console/organizer accessory is less expensive than the city mini and seems just as useful if not more (we use this accessory a LOT). The strap to move the back up/down also seems much easier to use. Also huge fan of their convertible car seats (for my average to smaller in height children anyways).
J Crowe Yes but you can add a second seat onto the britax to make a two seater, you have to buy a new stroller with this one.
