The sleeveless bodice and cylindrical skirt are hand quilted with a variety of floral images that Jane Grey Swisshelm reports are "from memory of a visit to Eagle's Nest Lake in Sherburne County ." Worn by Zoe Swisshelm, daughter of Jane Grey Swisshelm, abolitionist and advocate of women's rights who lived in Minnesota between 1857 and 1863.
