Free Pants Patterns are rare on the internet. Pants are a lot more difficult to make than say, a scarf or a skirt, so original patterns are a lot harder to create. However, after much sleuthing, we have tracked down what we consider to be a quite a good selection. These free pants patterns run the gamut of sizes, sexes and styles. We’ve included everything from unisex yoga pants to super-stylish trouser pants.
Machine Gathered Ruffles Without a Ruffling Foot My former method of making ruffles was: Cut strip of fabric. Sew a basting stitch (longest stitch length) down the middle of the fabric. Pull the top string and hand gather, adjusting until ruffled as desired. Cut strip of fabric to the width you want and twice the length you need. Set your machine to the longest stitch length (in my case a 5). Adjust your machine to the highest tension. (I set mine for an 8 or 9.) Sew down fabric.
