Drusilla Kehl Actually yes. They filmed a good deal of Star Wars in Tunisia. I posted another pic of Skywalker's uncle's house. Those are traditional dwellings--I stayed in one that was converted into a hotel. Raiders of the Lost Ark was also filmed here (the Egypt bit. Cairo was actually the city of Kairouan.
