Julie Elder It wasn't this elaborate, but I once had a "canopy" suspended from the ceiling over my bed. Had twinkle lights hanging behind it that glowed thru the fabric. Very cozy!

This is the color I want, I'm just not all that into the slat design on the front. But it does have the advantage of being less than half the price of the one from Crate & Barrel.
This is almost exactly what I want for my bedroom - the little shelf would be to stick my laptop in. The only thing wrong with it is the color. Well, that and it's $500. Jeez.

Using a sofa table as a desk - I love this idea! It keeps you from having to sit facing a wall.

Lovely - there's something about musical instruments sitting out with sheet music like this, as though someone was just playing it (only in homes where they're actually played, though, otherwise it's pretentious).
