Raven tattoo sleeve - absolutely amazing. There's going to be some important raven imagery in book 4, so stuff like this is quite an inspiration.

I'm pretty sure that if David had a dog he'd have this one: Belgian Sheepdog a.k.a. Belgian Groenendael. Just imagine one of these gorgeous puppers next to the Friesians.

Laura Borealis I've always thought Raven might be part Belgian. Every single difference between him and a full Border Collie seems to be explained by this one breed.

Another possibility for the Southern Signet; there are two of each, with the Prime's slightly heavier and larger. The Signets are not all identical, but do have the same overall style since they were all made by the same hands.

This is the general idea of what a Signet would look like: an oval stone in an antique setting. Each territory has its own stone: Baltic amber, as in this pic, is worn by the Prime of Eastern Europe, while the Southern US has a ruby, the Western US an emerald, and so forth. The chain would be much heavier and more durable, since they are only taken off when the bearer dies.

(Shadowflame) I got the idea for Prime Deven's look from Adam Lambert's "For Your Entertainment" video - except instead of a pimp cane Deven carries a katana. It's not so much that they look alike physically; it's the energy and overall style.

This is the same sort of theme that Deven's tattoos have: angel vs. demon - but his are full sleeves, and done to look like stained glass. Still, this is awesome.
