How to keep apple and pear slices from browning? Soak them in a bowl of cold salt water for 3-5 minutes. Not too much salt, or it effects the taste of the fruit. Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of salt per 1 quart (4 cups) of water. Best part is that you always have salt on hand.

Karen McKeown I found some at Walmart. they were only a few bucks and you get 3. I think it was Glad or Rubber Maid. They were by the take N Toss containers.

Michelle Grech The easy lunch boxes are WAY nicer than the Glad. They are sturdier and don't warp in the dishwasher...You won't be disappointed.
Lindsay Diven I agree. The easy lunch boxes are way better quality than the disposable ones. They are also very reasonably priced on Amazon.
Debbie Elwood I bought the Glad ones, realized they weren't very good, then bought the Easy LUnch Box ones. No comparison. I've been using Easy Lunch Box containers and bags for a year for my kids' lunches at school and they are still in excellent shape. I wash them in the dishwasher every night.

Trena Wilhelmsen I do this for my kids but I make a whole wheat pizza crust recipe and just bake off minis and pop them in the freezer. Pull them out the night before and they are ready to go the next morning.
