'Maria cleaned her nose and mouth as she cried weakly. I soothed her insitinctively, and heard Maria say over my shoulder. "Let her cry. She's been through alot. She's just telling you her side of the story. She knows you're here now." ' -one of my favourite lines of this beautiful birth of coco monsoon

Natasha Robbins I love this husband. Just seems like the perfect support person. Loving, calm, constant, excited, and nurturing. What a beautiful experience.
Cass Dottridge My dad is staying at the moment and walked passed as I was watching this. His face scrunched up and he asked why I would want to watch "that". Why? Hmm... Because it is beautiful and life-affirming and just hands-down amazing. And because it takes me straight back to two of the best days of my life.

Bleeding: women can be so afraid of bleeding. we should see blood as a sacrafice, something required to give life! Our bodies menstruate to bring the possiblity of new life to God's hands and it's beautiful! In birth our bodies bleed to give our baby it's own life separate from us and it's a beautiful thing! We shouldn't be afraid. .

Natalie Mitchell When Claire was born, my doctor said "Without the shed of blood, there can be no life." So beautiful. I agree wholeheartedly!
the beauty of a homebirth... labouring in the early morning sun, in the garden, with a loving midwife.

Alyssa Reeber Ha! That's what I did! I weeded my strawberry's one a sunny day till around 6 1/2 cm. Then I spent the rest of my time staring HARD into the farmers market flowers I surrounded myself with.

Fetching pins…
Erica B. it's so easy to do! next time I'm doing my own! :)
Erin D were yours raw or TCM?
Erica B. mine were TCM... but I did a raw encapsulation for a friend a few months ago... so I'm thinking about going raw next time.
Erin D i'm thinking that i would want to do raw i'd like to make a smoothie for after the birth, a homeopathic remedy for the future, and raw encapsulation. one of my other pins was a homebirth mama of twins- she got to have both of their placentas encapsulated, one raw and one TCM. i thought that was so cool
Erica B. ohh that is cool! two placentas w/ twins would be awesome! I still have my left over 'happy pills' in the freezer so I'll be able to do something similar. can't wait to see you ladies... and hear about all these yummy plans of yours! :)
