Makana O. my friend's mom is a calligrapher and shes in the calligraphy guild in our city. The people in the guild write a letter to another member every month, and she has the most amazing envelopes and cards i've ever seen!

Laurie Buffett Kearns A Bread and Butter note is a thank note to your hostess for hospitality in their home. I believe my grandmother and mother mostly wrote them for an overnight stay, perhaps because we lived far away from each other and hospitality always involved an overnight stay.

Kay Brightwell To compose a note for someone and to receive one, there is a tangible connection with the other person. It may take a few days to receive these words, but how exciting it is to read heartfelt thoughts from another. Yes, a dying art. Yet we can hopefully preserve it by starting today and writing to someone dear to us and it could possibly be the highlight of their day. :-)
