Ice eggs: cheap summer entertainment. Freeze balloons filled with water and small toys. Cut balloon off and play with eggs outside. Provide spoons for cracking ice and digging out treasures.

It was a tradition at our house, growing up, to dye eggs with onion peels every Easter. With my oldest now being 4, I want to carry the tradition in our family. So today, grandma came over and we all had fun together :) I documented the experience and from all the images I picked a hand full that show the process for you. This is such a cute idea. It's a daily calendar that can be reused each year and gets better the longer you use it. Each day you write the year and something that happened that day like, "(Child's name) took her first steps." I imagine the first year wouldn't be as fun, but imagine how neat it would be in 10 years.
