‘Painted Roses’ is the debut solo show from Sergio Lopez at the Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco. The new body of work consists of a variety of oil and gouache works on paper, linen and canvas; nudes recline, their floral tattoos melding into the decorative filigree of the backdrops.
"naked in prayer and meditation; in total supplication and reception to universal energy and nirvana" it means things that i dont even have words for. the obvious: woman powerful large and in reception to the universe. She is like in humility and power all at the same time.
