Dark Sky is an app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch that predicts the weather. Using your precise location, it tells you when it will precipitate and for how long. Perfect app for a person that loves the outdoors. :)

Voice dictation--sounds sort of dorky but there are plenty of times I wish I could type out an email or text while driving. This voice dictation is free and works pretty well. Plus it can export to mail or text message afterwards. Oh, and it's free!

Sleep Cycle. Just testing this one out now; relies on the iphone's accelerometer to determine when you're in REM sleep, then times your alarm within 30 minutes to wake you up at the ideal time. Cool idea!

Kelly Lamb I love being able to sit down to the computer and type out some notes, then they are synced to the list on my phone. I also lay in bed and watch things such as Cool Tools on DIY and jot them down for gift ideas. This is a wonderful free app.
