Lindsay Jarrett you have be to very careful when sanding glass because it creates glass dust which is harmful to breath in. You should be doing it outside with a mask over your mouth and nose, and make sure not to bring any of it in on your clothes, etc.

Ruth Gold If there is a fear of cutting yourself after it has been sanded.. you can use the wax from the candle.. add wax all the way around the edge of the bottle.
