Visalus Products: My girlfriend Cindy (also a nurse) introduced me to this recently. All I can say is Cindy researches everything (like me) and she is the fittest person I know, has tons of energy, does yoga 6 days a week and looks at LEAST ten years younger than her age. The amount of energy she has is unbelievable. If it's good enough for Cindy it is good enough for me! (BTW, the site promotes it for weight loss but it is really about being HEALTHY). There is no miracle product to make that fat "melt" off of you but getting good nutrition is definitely a key factor in being healthy. I'm about 10 pounds from my goal weight and I can tell you the energy comes when you control your carb intake. Here's to your health, FeeFee

One of the best tasting protein bars out there (for the amount of protein vs carbs- the higher the carb content the tastier they are). If you are wondering which one to try (because I've practically tried every protein bar out there), the plain cholcoalte (shown) is very good and so is the Mint Chocolate. Hubbies favorite is the Peanut Butter. 20g protein, low glycemic, no trans or partially hydrogenated fats plus 23 vitamins and minerals. It is very filling too. These are to be used as a meal replacement- not a snack if you are trying to lose weight. Hope this helps someone! ;)

Orly Bonder Rubberized Base Coat. I have short nails but I like to wear darker polish (which shows every tiny chip). This is not a miracle product but it definitely extends the life of my manicure. I still have to touch up on day 4-5 with the polish due to wear around he cuticles mostly, but I recommend this product because polish does not stay on my nails without it. I've read reviews (as always!) and this was a top seller. One woman said she climbed a mountain without a chip. Holy cow! :)

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Redness Soothing Gentle Scrub. It has aloe and chamomile plus scrubbing beads but the best part is that it has 2% salicylic acid. That's a really good amount for OTC cleansers. My skin looks good. I can't comment on the redness reducing because I don't have that problem. (I used to but prescription differin fixed that) I will definitely keep using this because the salicylic acid works by reducing swelling and redness and unplugging blocked skin pores to allow pimples to shrink. (source medline) If you use a product like this it will keep your face looking younger because it helps slough off the top dead layer of skin and expose the younger fresher "baby" layers of skin underneath.

FeeFee,RN i think i should warn though- if you do have problem skin- your face might look a little worse before it looks better. mine didn't since i've been using products like this for a long time but when i first started using them they did and i freaked out! it's just that it is purging all of those yucky oily skin layers forward to get rid of them. also, if you are fair you may burn in the sun so use sunscreen. if your face is really sensitive use this alternating every other day with something really gentle that doesn't have any type of acids in it.

Essie Demure Vixen. My all time favorite nail polish color. It is my new "go to" color. Neutral enough to wear with everything but still a little hint of color that compliments my skin tone which is light olive. Soft feminine color, ever so tiny bit iridescent just enough to catch the light and very shiny. Beautiful!

Essie Demure Vixen: This color is so amazing. A pale lavender with a shimmer purple that catches the light. Photos do not do it justice. It is also very shiny without even using a topcoat. I was looking for a neutral with just a hint of color besides plain old tan or pink and this was IT. I never want to take it off. I love it THAT much.

Victoria's Secret Silky Eye Shadow. I bought 24K (gold sparkle) and Wanted (rich navy blue luster). I am loving the 24K! If sparkly is what you're after you need to try this. I'm going back and getting every color in their sparkle collection. Stayed all day today (It was 107 and humid here in Arizona and I work as a home health nurse so need staying power for my makeup) Found a pic, Wanted is the first one and 24K is the 5th one. s601.photobucket....

Looked far and wide and read reviews on best top coats then came across this one from a tip from a hair stylist...This is the BEST top coat I've tried. My nail polish is super shiny and stays on all week! (with a base coat and two coats of good polish then the top coat)

C. O. Bigelow Mentha Body wash with peppermint oil. Smells great and leaves your skin feeling cool. Great for a pick me up shower or after spending time in the sun. Whole bathroom smells good after a shower with this.

Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity- sparkliest eyeshadow you can find. Fabulous. Beautiful. Perfection. Timy tiny speckles of sparkle like crushed pink diamonds. You'll want to wear it daily. Can also go over any color.

Hartz Pet Stain and Odor Remover: I got this from the grocery store and it really works GREAT! If you have and love dogs like I do (see Puppies Board!) you know they will occasionally have an accident. My house always smells fresh and you can't even tell (by smell) we have 3 dogs. You can also spray it in the air to freshen up a garbage smell or anything like that. Really neutralizes the odor. I don't have any carpets so I don't know how it works getting any stains out.

Nars eyeshadow base- goes on clear- dries fast. Makes your eyeshadow stay all day without smudging. Also great for eyebrows if you fill them and blemishes that you want to put concealer on. I waited a long time before trying this because I didn't want to spend the money on an "extra" product. This isn't a scam at all. It really works great.

Small Talk- I try a lot of products and always go back to this. I have fine thin hair that is layered. Makes it smooth, thicker, smells good, protects against blow drying and has a little hold. Really nice product.

maybelline superstay lip!!!! OMG this stuff lasts a long time. I have it in 3 shades: pink, pinkish nude and a light berry color. Does not work as well in the darker shades- I found it tends to crack a little and the darker shades show that but it is a MUST in the lighter shades. The gloss it comes with is really nice and shiny!

who doesn't use baby wipes for everything?? Huggies hypoallergenic sensitive ones are great for removing makeup without burning your eyes. Way cheaper than the make up remover pads that are out there.

Prescription only (just aks your doc for it). Works on acne and also helps lighten skin (from acne scars or spots). Get the cream if you have sensitive skin and the gel if your skin is really oily. Only need a pea sized amount each night or even every few nights.

This is fairly new. Burt's Bees with Clove Oil. it smells soooo good and really works to soften your lips. The other one I love is the "soothing, coolong refreshing" one. It leaves your lips tingly.

Shea Cashmere Hand Cream. From Bath and Body Works. This leaves your hands really silky feeling- not sticky. And it really does soften. Not to mention it smells like vanilla frosting. My hubby even started using it to soften his rough hands. (don't tell him I told you)
