Feng Shui

Feng shui (pronouced fung shway) translated is "wind-water" from Chinese. What it means is that you can use the laws of heaven and earth to receive positive qi (pronounced chee). Tools such the the bagua are used to find the flow of qi and then certain objects (cures) can help direct the positive qi into your life and the negative qi out of your life. There are many different "schools" of feng shui and I am not a master of any of them! If you are serious about learning about it you should go to a feng shui master (an authentic one, not just someone who took one class then charges you a bunch of money to tell you where to place things in your home). Feng shui has been used since as early as 4000BC. Please keep in mind that much of the knowledge has been lost in translation. Feng shui uses water, wood, fire, earth and metal in certain combinations. There is positive and negative energy in every home (and everywhere you go). Feng shui is not a religion. It is not sorcery. It is not a new age science. However, if it is not my place to say if it conflicts with your religion. That is for you to decide. So please do not follow this board if you find it conflicts with your beliefs. Some things that are used to find your positive energy are your birthdate, gender, the compass direction of your home or space, the year your house was built etc. The objects you use (cures) may consist of aquariums, water fountains, certain plants, wind chimes, mirrors, crystals, coins, figurines and more. i don't typically like dried flowers (bad feng shui) but this is pretty. Just don't put anything dead on your front door and make sue you rake up all the fallen leaves and debris!

If you like cacti, never have them inside your home. Instead, try to put them outside the windows, where they will act as protectors of the home.
