Sarah Shumway i agree that it is a creepy idea, but how is it any different for the snakes than the fish? Why would keeping a snake be any sadder than keeping the fish in tanks, other than preference. To each his own.

i do not "promote" humans owning wild animals by pinning this. it is a very interesting article about the hyena men of africa at the link. it is about their traditions and practices as a family. they use large sticks to beat the hyenas (very bad) and they gave their littlest family members special herbs and concoctions so they will never be hurt by the animals. the herbs allow the little ones to play freely with the animals and ride them. (scary stuff!) click link for story.

FeeFee,RN Hey thank Polly! I agree completely! People can be so rude. I don't understand why people get on pinterest and all of a sudden turn into the pinterest police. Pinterest allows the ability to follow or unfollow someone. I personally wouldn't use it as a bedspread but I admire their creativity and sense of humor so that's why I pinned it. To each his own! :)

Melinda although it kinda blows my mind..i imagine there is one amazing story behind it, as well as an interesting soul :).
i saw a water snake when i was a kid and i will never forget it. i was reeling in my fishing line and as the hook with worm came out of the water so did the snake- it was out of the water like a foot, straight up going after the worm and scared the heck out of me. lol

Whitney Larsen Ew, looking at that just gives me the creeps. I had a very similar experience except we were fishing off a bridge. I picked it up with some pliers and tossed out into the water again. It was swimming against a very strong current so it wasn't moving anywhere. It eventually just sank.. Is it bad that I don't feel at all sorry I did this?? :/

FeeFee,RN oh my goodness. thank you laura. i am a home health hospice nurse. nursing doesn't usually give me bad weeks and i do love my job but sometimes the demands of the job (not necessarily the patient care) can be trying! i really appreciate you saying that! what do you do that you worked with nurses?
Laura Byerly So sorry I forgot to respond, I worked as a ER Clerk I am the girl who has everyone seated e and fill out paper work before the ER Nurses and Doctors see them. And man did I see some stuff. I just have a great respect for nurses, it can def be taxing a times and I appreciate those who have the patience and the heart to do it. So thanks again. Hang in there.
