I try to make Omni Group software look presentable and behave politely.

Roco Van Hecke created this tote bag design as part of our Blank Canvas Challege. Re-pin it to vote and visit www.onekingslane.... for contest rules and more!

I like the truck treatment for the Red Cross brand update. I wonder how realistic it is to expect an actual truck to look this nice.

Moshi Moshi Harajuku, by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. A masterpiece of iconic album art, if you ask me.

Mimi Houllier von Schwarzlang from Atelier Totori, by Kishida Mel. Totally not the sort of character I usually like, and yet I totally like her.

George Peabody Library, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. It looks almost exactly like the Duke’s Archives level in Dark Souls.

Codrington Library, All Soul’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, UK. I wanted to pin every single image in this gallery, “The 25 Most Beautiful College Libraries in the World”.

If I didn’t already own Livory, I would be very tempted by Cassia.

I love the photography and typography of Kiyoaki Sasahara, who I gather is the designer of several Spangle call Lilli line albums.

Unknown Spanish artist; 17th century. This is on display at the Art Institute of Chicago, and I always loved the totally incongruous-looking text emerging from the dude’s mouth.
Valkyria Chronicles 3. I looooooove the pattern dithering on PSX games and, apparently, PSP games.

Ekranoplan; super weird and vying for the title of my favorite airplane design ever. Lots more pictures at the source site.

Hide Belt from Diablo 3. This series has always had brilliant pixel art, giving even the lowliest items substance and gravitas.

William Van Hecke Aaaand Pinterest has JPEG-compressed the lovely PNG all to heck. :(
Dalian from Dantalian no Shoka, by G-Yuusuke. No accessory is more attractive than a tome. Plus: in the anime, she is voiced by the brilliant Sawashiro Miyuki.

I really, really like this visual approach to guitar learning at skyturtle.com.

This single work-in-progress shot from Yoshizawa Mitsumasa is as educational as anything I have seen on the topic of 3D character modeling.

‘Another little sneak peak of my “Star Wars 1999” side project, which is a remake of the prequels only using SW information prior to Lucas’s prequels.’ — Aaron Diaz. Dang it, I am not supposed to like Star Wars, but that sounds like a marvelous idea.

“ The man claimed that the planet was called Aocicinori and that it was the 63rd in a system of 96 planets. He showed off maps of the world, as well as some colorful illustrations of the creatures that lived there. The Rice University article reveals that these materials were created by Scotland L. Moore, an outpatient from the Houston State Psychiatric Institute.” news.discovery.co...

A PADD from Star Trek: TNG. I love Okudagrams; so iconic of the way we used to imagine our future. So artistic while still functional-looking. A lovely example of design to solve problems for creative projects.

Moment in the Sun by John Sayles. I know next to nothing about it yet, but the cover is shockingly great. If I ever wrote a book, a cover like this would be required.

I, for one, approve of tech news web site logos that are indistinguishable from ’70s prog-rock band logos.

The Dymaxion projection is pretty cool, too, because it is specially adjusted to work well for Earth. I like the acceptance that sometimes it is preferable to specialize your design, especially in the case of, like, *the only planet people live on*.

The original Song of Ice and Fire covers for the UK, by Jim Burns, were *marvelous*. The switch to boringness is even more disappointing than on the US versions.

Oh, Stephen Youll, the original cover artist for the Ice and Fire books, actually did a painting for the fourth book! But they switched to the super-boring design instead, ruining the consistency of my collection. Here is the original, unused, cool version!
