Winter bubbles! As long as the temperature is below 0C or 32F, the bubbles will freeze and shatter when they fall to the ground! i have to try this with the kids!

Put letter in birthday book each year. Instead of giving your child birthday cards (which inevitably get lost), write your heartfelt sentiments for special occasions (birthdays, starting school, etc) in a journal...which will be a keepsake when they're grown!

Cool!! It's alive! One of the coolest science experiments ever!- cornstarch and water mixture moves to sound so kids can visually experience sound waves.

Color Changing Drinks- Guests will stare wide-eyed as they watch clear water or soda transform into a vibrant color! must be magic! What you'll need: Plastic party cups, food coloring, ice, and any clear drink (Sprite, Fresca, Ginger Ale, etc). Place 2 to 3 drops of food coloring at the bottom of each party cup and let dry. Just before serving the drinks, fill each cup with ice to hide the food coloring. While each child watches, pour the drink over the ice, and the clear water or soda will magically turn into a color as it fills their cup! Use different colors of food coloring so that the kids won't know what color to expect from their magic soda!

At some point my future non-existent children will have to dress up as gnomes. I love gnomes.

"I think this is one of the best toddler activity idea websites I've ever found. The ideas are simple, educational and allow for creative exploration of the child's own world. Highly recommend.
