Teaching density! Shake it up and watch it separate again! Unfortunately ours didn't separate very well. Turned into maybe 3 layers of different shades of brown. :-(

Funny recipe the kids loved. Toby had to pull every noodle out of his hot dog though...I think it made him mad. But everyone else thought it was fun! ;-)

Freeze your left-over tomato paste in 1 Tbsp portions for future use

did you know that if you put a wooden spoon over a pot of boiling water, it won't boil over? Yup, it works!

Debby Gerth See, I tried this too, and it didn't work for me. Boiled right over.

Freeze green onions in water bottles - shake out the right amount and return to the freezer! I always have green onions that go bad because I don't use them fast enough. Love this! I use a creamer container with a nice pouring spout.

How to quickly peel pearl onions - I looked this up when I was making kabobs that used pearl onions. Sure helped speed things up!

When you get your berries home, prepare a mixture of one part vinegar (white or apple cider) and ten parts water. Dump the berries into the mixture and swirl around. Drain, rinse if you want (though the mixture is so diluted you can't taste the vinegar,) and pop in the fridge. The vinegar kills any mold spores and other bacteria on the surface. Raspberries will last a week or more, and strawberries go almost two weeks without getting moldy and soft.

Cleaning stove burners and pans! No scrubbing! Yes, it did work!

Nutter Butter Bark - this was gooood!

Cheeseburger cupcakes! Here's how I made them...

I've tried a few fish taco recipes, now that we're on a lake and have tons of fish! This is our favorite so far. Very tasty and not drenched in overwhelming sauce!

I make this in the crock pot on Christmas day when the oven is busy cooking turkey!

Candy corn bark - Made this last year and it's AWESOME! You'd think it would be too sweet but it's not. So good...sweet & salty. Can't wait to make it again this year!

Great easy recipe to use some polska.

S'Mores cookies - yum! The cracker gets a little soggy after a couple days, but these are good.

cheesy chicken ranch lasagna - a little dry but good! Great way to use up left over chicken and I use my own ranch dressing mix now too.

Chicken and cheese lasagna roll-ups. Super easy weeknight meal - pretty good

Soda Can Cupcakes... One box of cake mix and one can of soda - that's it! Tried it...they were not bad. Good idea to hang on to if I need to make some cake and am out of ingredients!

Make your own taco seasoning...skip the packets! This is my new taco seasoning and I'm so glad I no longer have to scour the pantry for packets.

overnight blueberry french toast - This is AMAZING. Made it for church moms' group and for mothers' day brunch and it gets gobbled up every time.

Triple Layer Fudgy Mint Oreo Brownies - I did make these and WILL be making them again. Sooo good. Even good a little frozen as the green part is really light. They're a little gooey on the fingertips but worth it!

Italian dressing mix. I already make my own taco seasoning, this will be the next one I try in my quest to eliminate the expensive "packets!"

Recipe for dry ranch dressing mix - my new replacement for the packets! Spices are so much cheaper in bulk at Whole Foods it'll blow your mind.

Overnight crockpot breakfast - Tried for Mothers' day brunch. It was okay, a bit too potato-y for me.

crunchy green grapes, dip them in caramels melted with a little cream, then dip them in finely chopped, salted peanuts. So addicting. Like little tiny caramel apples....but better..
