Nadia Brendish We did something similar - we had a "kids" table covered in colouring books and pencils if they got bored at the reception.
Natissa Small I had little cardboard birdhouses to colour (which most kids left behind) and small pots of play doh. Everyone loved the play doh.

"The best decision I made in my marriage? Keeping my name." Absofuckinglutely. I honestly get angry about the sheer number of women who change their names - why the fuck should they or would they take part in such a misogynistic practice?

Anji Norman Capes @Paulita Ramone - in my opinion, the mother's, since she's the one who grows, births, feeds and most of the time cares for the child. But if that doesn't suit, why not both parents' names? Why do children get their fathers' names automatically? It stems from the concept of ownership - slaves took their owners' last name, and as a woman and her children became the husband/father's property, so too did they take the man's last name, as a signifier of his ownership of them. That doesn't sit right with me. @Sam - I get that people go with tradition, I just have a problem with the implications behind that tradition and the fact that the vast majority of women (and men) don't even think about it, they just do it because they "should". I've had people just *assume* I'll be Anji Ivy after we marry. I'm willing to put money on us receiving at least ten envelopes addressed to "Jesse and Anji Ivy" or "Mr and Mrs Ivy" etc. :o/
Rebecca Nichols I didn't change my name when I got married, Mikey took my husbands name though.
Holly Johnson I did change my name, but I was given my mother's maiden name and I wish I would have kept the tradition going and given Jill her last name as well. Just wasn't something I thought about then
Kelly Apshaga-Meaux I hyphenated, as did the husband. Made more sense than neither of us changing it in my opinion.
Amanda McEwen When my fiance and I marry he will be taking my name. Both out sons have my name.
Contacting the creator RIGHT NOW to ask if she'll do one in my colours. :D

Don't marry a man unless you would be proud to have a son EXACTLY like him

Natissa Small Madly in love with this cake!
I'll have to change a few things... But definitely cute idea
LOVE this idea for the kids... Notebooks with crayons for the little people at the wedding.
could we incorporate sparklers somehow? but the ceremony will end when it's still light...maybe as our send off when we leave reception?
I like this idea... a timeline is perfect for us, especially since we fell in love so quickly :)
these are some of the best wedding vows I've ever heard of: his pledge to her: "i will kill the spiders. i will share my fries with you when you’ve finished all yours and are still hungry. i won’t ever pop my collar. i will never be rude to your tummy- when i hear it growl and gurgle, i promise to bend down and reply respectfully. i will eat the mushrooms when we order the supreme pizza. i will kiss the papercuts. and the door-slammed finger. and the counter-bumped hip. i’ll try my hardest not to get annoyed when you whisper questions and comments during movies. i will be the big spoon. i will let you win at wrestling. sometimes. other times i will not.i will send you random txts and leave you silly gifts. not always. not on schedule. just whenever i want to. whenever i think you need one. or seven. i will check your tire pressure. and remind you to take your car in. i will hold your hand. i will love you. i will love you. i will love you."
