Last month, 126 very generous members of the Project of the Month Club raised four thousand dollars for “Prevent Youth Involvement In Drug Trafficking” a project offering 50 young people after-school activities, like tutoring, arts, Capoeira, and dance, to prevent their involvement with gangs in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This project teaches underprivileged #women techniques in sewing and embroidery to enable them to be able to use these skills to earn a living; as well as teaching literacy in Hindi and basic English. #dogood
