Need to remember this ... so many clothes I thought were ruined... Chalk will remove grease stains from clothes. Simply rub the stain with chalk, then toss in the wash as normal.

Drop a couple of alka seltzer tablets into a slow drain and follow with a vinegar chaser. After a few minutes, rinse with hot water. Your drain will be as good as new. Use cheapy floor tiles from Lowes or Dollar General not only for under the sink, but as shelf liner. More durable than shelf paper and about the same price. The cheap, thin tiles cut easily with scissors.

Place a layer of wax paper on top of upper kitchen cabinets where dust and grease particles gather. Every few months, switch out the paper for a fresh sheet. Includes other wax paper uses.

How to get your dirty whites clean again... HOT HOT HOT water, 1 cap of laundry detergent, 1 cup powdered dish washer detergent, 1 cup bleach, 1/2 cup borax. you have to rewash it once to put softener in but it's the whitest you'll ever see your whites. If you omit the bleach it works great to get stains out of colors too (baby spit up is no longer a stain on OLD clothes)

If you ruin a brush with dried paint, just soak it in Murphy Oil for 24 to 48 hours and it dissolves all the paint and makes it like new

add floetrol by sherwin williams to your paint when painting furniture or cabinets and it will take away all of those brush stroke marks and leave the paint smooth.

Cover bottom of oven with baking soda, then pour vinegar so it's all wet. Let sit around 20 minutes or so then wipe all of it out with damp cloth or sponge. I leave my oven door open too. After drying you may see some white residue, wipe again.

The only SPOT REMOVER you may ever need ~ Mix one part Dawn dish washing liquid with two parts hydrogen peroxide; pour or spray it directly on the stain, and watch it disappear like MAGIC...when you're housetraining a dog (or a toddler), this might come in handy.
