A gorgeous Arial photo of Whistler's Bend and the North Umpqua River. Glide, where I went to school, is in the background.
Whistler's Bend and the North Umpqua River. North Bank Road snaked through those hills and from the school bus I could see my grandparents' house.
The Ratskeller at Government Camp, where the grownups go to get drunk while the kids stay at the cabin to get drunk.

Government Camp, Oregon, a small town on the southern flanks of Mt. Hood, where my father had a winter cabin. In 1974-76, I'd stay there at night and ski during the day.
Mt. Hood, Oregon where I learned to ski. My dad was on the ski patrol so I spent a lot of time there during the winters of 1974-76.

Echo Bend, a beautiful place in southern Oregon. My parents built a house on a lot in front of this river circa 1966.
The Winchester Dam, on the way to Roseburg, in southern Oregon. I remember craning my neck to see this from the backseat while my parents drove across the bridge.
Another photo of the North Umpqua River. It played a huge role in the lives of my parents and grandparents.
Another Echo Bend photo, where I lived at 6-9 years of age.
