Doug Johnston the lighting in this place is insane. On the other side of the curved wall on the right is a large open gallery-like space (the owner is a gallerist) with a crazy curved plaster and fabric ceiling. The fabric part is back lit with thousands of LED lights that apparently can be programmed for different effects. The contractor installed all of them and then the designer decided they were the wrong color so they all had to be taken down and replaced. The floor is the most gorgeous floor I have ever seen. 12ft long boards of 1.5" thick Danish birch - each board is about 15" wide.
Doug Johnston also, that section of shelves down the hall on the left that has no books on it - that is actually a hidden door that slides out perpendicularly and gives access to various utility controls and valves. You can see the difference where the floor meets the wall.
