DING3000 writes of their work: “The quick hand sketch of an archetypical lamp was the inspiration for 2D LED. By means of modern LED technology it is possible to keep the body of the lamp as thin as possible, which gives the luminaire the appearance of a sketched line. The sheathed metal hose within the foot provides an adjustable hood. 2D LED is available as table or floor lamp.”
We came across two interesting lamps designed by the same talented product and lighting designer Giles Godwin-Brown. The first one, named Nepa Lamp, is described by its creator as a ” two-dimensional lamp silhouette that seamlessly transforms into a fully functioning three-dimensional task lamp.” The wall-mounted 6 ft high lamp was built out of conventional materials – birch plywood with stainless steel and aluminum details – with the help of computer-controlled technologies. It uses friction hinges along with a pivot in the base to enable a full range movement and utilizes high-powered LED lighting to spread its functional light. Last September, the Nepa Lamp was exhibited at Designersblock London.

Abierta proyecta un reflejo en forma de estrella sobre las paredes mientras que si está cerrada se consigue un efecto de sombra. Claire Norcross is an award-winning designer specialising in lighting, and offers a design and consultancy service for both the commercial and bespoke markets. Claire Norcross is best known for the range of designs produced whilst head of lighting at Habitat. These include Aperture, Spindle , Newton and Ribbon; which received the ‘Best in Lighting’ award from Elle Decoration magazine in 2006.

CORSO es una lámpara mural, de Antoni Arola, cuyo brazo luminoso discurre de izquierda a derecha como un escáner de luz vertical sobre un fondo horizontal con degradaciones de color, realizado en un material suavemente reflectante.
