Math tub idea: Get two ice trays from the dollar spot at Target, write 2-digit numbers on white labels for each hole, and kids toss a cube in each tray and add numbers together on recording sheet or whiteboard.

Did you know that Dr. Seuss wrote Green Eggs and Ham using only 50 words? Last year, my kids had a great time trying to find all 50 words. It can be a little tricky since many are repeated They have to pay close attention to not have any repeats. I created this recording form for your kids if you want to try it out. Evelyn Law Ralph I learned from a workshop that this method will mess up kids when it comes to subtraction. It's better to tell a child to start with the FIRST number, no matter how big or small it is.
