Once a low skyline, Austin's downtown has seen a boom in recent years like no other! Not only a popular place to hang out, Downtown Austin has become a hip spot to live with the influx of condos and lofts. According to Zillow, the median price of a residence is 399k. The area features new and old businesses, bars and restaurant. Parking is getting a little tight and the city is getting better about implementing bike lanes.

Barton Springs Pool is a spring-fed natural pool located roughly in Downtown Austin. This area is a popular spot during the summer months, but is open all year. In the on season, the cost to swim at the pool is three dollars. Great place to people watch and hang with friends.
