keeping squirrels out!

Jack Hockett I rehabbed a male squirrel in the past year. One other thing I discovered is that if you put pea gravel on top of the soil in any container, they will not touch it. They'll breeze over it like it wasn't there. They don't smell or feel the dirt. I really don't know why but they don't touch them. I have it on all my containers now.
Helen Rogers oooo ... I just saw a landscaping job where there was pea gravel all around the garden beds. I wonder if that's why?
Ami Brainerd Thanks for the tip, Jack!

Georganne Williams Do you drill holes in the bottom for drainage?
Ami Brainerd Georganne, yes. We drilled very small holes every few inches for drainage. I should probably put that in the blog post! :)
Georganne Williams Thanks Ami
