Paint pages, make it easy to say “yes” to painting, take them when you travel, hikes or picnics! All you need is some watercolor paper and small squirt of watercolor paint (don't need much water color paint goes a long way plus it won't stain clothes, pretty much washes out of most everything). allow a few days to dry. Then when you are ready to paint just add water.

Clutter Jail. If the kids leave it out, it goes in the clutter jail and they have to draw a card out of the community chest and complete the task to get their stuff back. Free printables! So doing this. Great way to teach responsibility. This beats threatening to throw away the toys :)

Michael Coppens That's pretty cool.
Skittles Science Experiment: Using a paper bowl, put in enough water so that the skittles are covered with a little extra above them. Put in 3 skittles (all except yellow work best) and watch what happens! The 'S' even floats to the top! I then had the kids draw and color what they saw happen. You can also use this as a graphing project where the children count how many of each color is in their bags, and graph the colors onto a chart. Then... enjoy eating the skittles!! :)
starting at age 3, every year on their birthday, ask your child the same questions and see how their answers change over the years! add a picture and make a book out of it. 20 questions 1. what is your favorite color? 2. what is your favorite toy? 3. what is your favorite fruit? 4. what is your favorite tv show? 5. what is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? 6. what is your favorite outfit? 7. what is your favorite game? 8. what is your favorite snack? 9. what is your favorite animal? 10. what is your favorite song? 11. what is your favorite book? 12. who is your best friend? 13. what is your favorite cereal? 14. what is your favorite thing to do outside? 15. what is your favorite drink? 16. what is your favorite holiday? 17. what do you like to take to bed with you at night? 18. what is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? 19. what do you want for dinner on your birthday? 20. what do you want to be when you grow up? such a cute idea!

On a tray, place a pile of baking soda. Mix vinegar + a few drops of food coloring in a cup. Give the kids an eyedropper. Have them fill it with vinegar, squeeze onto the baking soda and watch mini volcanoes erupt! rainy day idea!
