DIY: King Size Bed - All Instructions

Since I'm painting the kitchen cabinets

Ema Lily Yeah! I used a foam brush for no brush marks, but it doesn't give a very thick coat. And, unless you're changing hardware, painting the doors without removing them is much quicker and saves having to have 100 square feet of properly covered floor to do it on.
Another pinner said: "I had upholstered chairs before, but this taught me the proper way." Especially helpful is the instruction on how to do corners.

I thought of two pedestals with storage between when I was in my soon-to-be-redone bathroom this morning. I would forgo the wall cabinet.

DIY - make a roman shade using mini blinds

Jenny On Pinterest Hey, I've done that! Used sheer fabric, so it was sorta like fake Illusions Shadings or whatever they're called.
This could be perfect for my butler's pantry. And the windows over the mantel. And. . .
Curtains I think I could actually make. Even with my limited skills.
I may have to try to make one of these. It would be useful and I have some adorable Amy Butler fabric squares that I could use.

Jenny On Pinterest Don't put the "nook" there, though!
Jane Casey No. But wouldn't that be awesome in the guest room closet?
Jenny On Pinterest It'd be perfect!
Deborah Cunefare Oh, what a cool idea!
Jane Casey I've procrastinated getting the guest room closet painted and it has nothing in it. I might as well go ahead with the project. :)
Oh! Oh! OH! I just got a great idea for my downstairs hall.

35 dollars for the two bookcases, and some baseboard trim to make it look like a great built in. (Could work for the central hall.)
I wish I could paint the dining room furniture white!

Bethany Meyer Can't you?
Jane Casey The papa looked stricken with at the idea.
Adrienne Newman Paint it! It's just furniture.
What a cool idea. Paint a bench, wall, and shelf the same color to make it look like a built-in. This could fill my need for a hall tree.

This would be so easy to make! I think I may have to do this as part of our laundry room redo.

Here's another idea @Jenny Jordan: Papered stair treads.

Jenny On Pinterest Oh, wow! I love that!
Cute closet-turned-nook. I would have loved this when I was a kid. I think that my grandchildren's grandma's house is going to have this closet. ;)

@Bethany Meyer WHat would you think about this for the front porch? Thrift store chair turned swing!
Vanity made from an old dresser. Think I'm going shopping!

Bathroom vanity made out of an antique sideboard.

This would be lovely in my dining room where I don't really need a heavy window covering.

Pool deck--This, sans pergolas, is what I want to do. But it would be up to the rdge of the concrete instead of the edge of the pool.

Fetching pins…
Lora Horn I've fermented it by adding whey and letting it sit out for a few days. It tasted great, and no one got sick :)
