There are a lot of bad movies that I love to watch... but these are the good ones - and I think you will enjoy them.
[4 STARS] - "Beginners" - “Beginners” can fall into the category of so many other indie flicks dealing with the loss of loved ones, the acquisition of new ones, and the answer to the question “life, how does it work?”
[4 STARS] - "Son of Rambow" - This movie is so much fun. A fatherless bully and a sheltered kid from a brotherhood conservative religion happen to befriend one another in order to finish their remake of Rambo. It's a blast. An easy movie for a broad audience to enjoy.
[4 STARS] - "Lars and the Real Girl" - I loved this movie from the start and definitely ranked it higher than Dan in Real Life which in my opinion had an unfortunately similar title and somewhat similar premise (single guy going through breakdown). But I think this movie shows an amazing example of a beautiful community and would recommend this movie to anyone.
[3 STARS] - "All the Real Girls" - a friend of mine used to own this movie long before Danny McBride was Kenny Powers and Paul Schneider was Mark Brendanawicz on Parks and Rec. I think my buddy loved this because it was his first "indy" movie - but David Gordon Green is as wonderful then as he is today.
