Maison des Rêves, Dream Shopping for Every Accessorator! at 11 Rue Coëtlogon, is home to an eclectic mélange of divine and delightful accessories from all over the world. Selected with a contemporary vision, the store offers up a wonderful blend of old and new pieces. I never leave without a very special treasure to take home.

Grande Epicerie du Bon Marché In the heart of the left-bank, the Grande Epicerie offers everything a gourmet has ever dreamed of. Don't miss this unique experience where fine food is considered an art.

Puces de Vanves A little trip to Vanves Flea Market means lot of fun, and could be a good hunt.

L’Artisan Parfumeur Paris There are many perfume shops in Paris, but L’Artisan Parfumeur stands out as one of the best because it’s quintessentially French; “complex a la fois simple” yet luxurious. With an emphasis on it artisan methods, you’ll have more luck finding your signature fragrance here, if you’ve been searching for something original that you have not been able to find at one of the major beauty chains.

Belle de Jour   description Devoted solely to antique perfume and perfume bottles—the kind of shop you’ll probably find only in Paris.

Serge Lutens at Shiseido, Serge Lutens’s perfume is very hot, especially Ambre Sultan. His work can be found at the Shiseido boutique (even though he’s French) in the Palais Royal.

When it comes to fresh fruit and vegetables, nothing beats the outdoor markets in Paris. They are a real treat for the senses. Fresh fish, fresh bread, fresh cheese, everything you could want out in the open a couple of times a week and every arrondissement has several to choose from. Get up early, bring your own basket and dive into the fray – you’ll be cajoled by vendors inviting you to sample their wares and they’ll often try to talk you into buying more than you intended, but it’s all part of the fun. If you’re planning a picnic, the open markets are great places to stock up on everything you need. Some of the most well known are the Marché d’Aligre in the 12tharrondissement, Place Monge in the 5th or Bastille/Richard Lenoir in the 11th.
