Iky Dafeamepkor Awwwwww how cute!
Suzanne I love the simplicity of the table and how it's just a little bit of everything.. not just big globs of sweetness (not that theres anything wrong with that) :)

This is like the upteenth baby shower pic I've seen that's had fancy straws. Dude. We need fancy straws.

Carmen I've also noticed that. Fancy straws are cool with me.

Carmen Love practically everything about this baby shower! Even the colors are perfect. Soft or medium gray works just as well as silver. Also, she included lots of links to templates and ideas on specific pieces.
Suzanne I absolutely adore this! Now.. do you like the subdued pink and gray.. or would you like a little contrast POP in there? (I am under obligation from Maggie to say: I think you need red) It's tough having a kid that can read.. I can't fake stuff anymore. :)
Carmen I like the pink and gray subdued but for contrast, white and black. There's also nothing wrong with breaking the rules here and there where necessary. If some area needs pop, a tiny bit of brighter pink or darker gray won't hurt the main color palette. But I really prefer soft pink though.
Carmen To give you more visual: There is a rug I pinned in Preparing For Baby. The colors in that rug are perrrrfect for what I was imagining for the room... and now shower. :)
I like labels for each dish.

Carmen Yup, nice looking labels are great. Easy to do and of course I'll have them match the invitations. :)
Nice hanging decorations?

Carmen I saw this and love the idea! Although, since I'm a first time mommy, I need more baby stuff than books, so I wouldn't want solely a book-only theme. But I'm sure I can mix some books into my registry. Love this bookshelf too!
Christine Schultz Baby I would like this for magazines and some books mixed in. Like one huge magazine rack with maybe some decorative molding and trimwork with the upper shelves able to hold adult books for a wall that could be dressed up with just things that you would read more if they were some where you happened to pass by. This has always been great for kids. It is a shame that adults have not made themselves a version of this. This is a great buy. You can read to your child at any age and when your child turns between 8 and 10 you can save the outer wood to use as a frame for chalk board paint, magenetic paint or some other kind of shelf.
Fetching pins…
Carmen Btw, Sue, I'm ok if you want to serve alcohol at the shower. I know it would make it a lot more fun (for 90% of them that can drink). This is pretty but also a few bottles of blush wine or pink champagne works just fine too.
Carmen I can't remember if we ever discussed alcohol. As long as I have a pretty/tasty/non-alcholic beverage in my hand, I'm totally cool with it.
Suzanne Cool. :) I like this recipe you just shared. I also have another idea for a wine-like cocktail... in a blush pink too.
Carmen Nice. You're already on top of it, as usual. :)
