170 candles from a local candle outlet. They cut 2×4 lumber just long enough for each candle to sit on as a shelf. Then they mounted these pieces of wood to some 4×8 sheets of plywood with wood screws through the back.
To create a transition between death and life, they made one side of the stage rugged and rough…and the other side smooth and soft.
We used aluminum window screen. I purchased them from this location was the cheapest at the time thescreenplace.ne.... our rolls were 5' wide. We cut them to length and simply crumpled it all up to give it the appearance of rock.

Jake Wandel agreed. Those are tacky.
screening in 25′ rolls (4′ wide), unrolled them and wrinkled it up. No cutting necessary! They hung the screens with zip ties and lit them with American DJ –
