Use a clean toothbrush to remove stray threads of silk from freshly shucked ears of corn. The bristles will lift them away quickly and efficiently.

When you paint a room, put some extra paint in a baby jar and keep it handy for quick touch-ups. Well duh...as much as I paint...why haven't I thought of this ??

If you want your house to smell heavenly, boil some orange peels and a cut up apple with a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon on Medium heat. My favorite smell in the entire universe, of all time.

Cook bacon in the oven. Cover cookie sheet with tinfoil first. Do 375 for about 20 min instead of 400 for ten because the lower and slower the more fat renders out. Then all the bacon is done at the same time, meanwhile you were free to make the rest of breakfast. This is how we always cook our bacon. Lots less mess!
