Cheryl DeWolfe Won't the coffee filter compost/decay pretty quickly? It is just paper... Mesh screen, though, that makes sense.
Janice Mansfield I use those bulk basket filters (for filtering bitters), and they are tougher than they look. I think they would last a season -- I change out the soil in my pots every spring anyway
