Jonathan Spooner note sure if you've made it a tip as well but commenting and responding to comments is a great tactic as well!

Sterling Dee I'm just learning to implement this tip. Been on pinterest for a day or two now, but my new strategy is to bookmark content and then go back to it later for pinning. There will prob be a tool that allows one to have a backlog of pins that can be posted at set intervals (if this doesn't exist already)

Paul Wilson Jason- I tried to pin this article while on your site via my Pinterest Chrome extension. Unfortunately, I was unable to. I received a prompt stating that the pin already existed on Pinterest and to get repin it there. This was obviously frustrating, but what is more annoying is your graphic links to your domain and not the full url of the article I am interested in. I think most of us use Pinterest for our social bookmarking. Having a pin that goes to your root domain and not the full url seems extremely pointless to me. It just requires one more step for me to edit the pin to have the right url. I just thought I would offer feedback on my negative user experience on your website.

Marketing On Pinterest w/ Jason Miles Thanks Paul. I tweaked the link. Its a good point. Sadly I cannot control the chrome functionality, but I appreciate this feedback.

Paul Wilson Jason- Thanks for the response. Your site is only one of a few that pushes people back to Pinterest to find the image. I really believe it has to do with some code on your site. Nonetheless, thanks for tweaking the url. It really is a best practice in my mind.

Social networking in Pinterest couldn't be easier. Be sure to follow your content around Pinterest, as much as you can, and comment, like, or follow as a way to connect to new people who are obviously liking your content. Taking the time to socially engage in those ways will boost your overall impact within Pinterest.

Driving traffic into Pinterest - from your website - is like dropping mentos into a 2 liter of coke - explosive things happen. Why? Because your existing customers come into pinterest, like your images, then their friends are exposed to the content. BAM. You just got your existing customers to advocate for your to their friends. That was easy! Using the Hellobar(.com) on your wordpress site to invite people to Pinterest is a simple and effective method for generating traffic from your ecommerce site to Pinterest. Of course you can also use the 'follow me on pinterest' widget, and the 'pin it' wordpress plug-in on each post.
