A Miyazaki is still a Miyazaki, but this one was a bit light and too straightforward. (Movie #11, 2.18.2012, B-)

Filmed at UMich, my alma mater. Nicely shot and acted, but plot kind of loses its way. (Movie #10, 2.10.2012, C+)
A tad gimmicky, started better than it finished, but entertaining nonetheless. (Movie #9, 2/7/2012, B)
Topped many best-of lists, lauded by critics, nominated for foreign Oscar, all worthy accolades. (Movie #8, 2/6/2012, A)
Another quit. I thought I would like it, but it was bad on so many levels. Nothing like playing MW3 (Book #--, 2.1.2012, Incomplete)
An action movie with no action. Thanks Soderbergh. Skip unless you like Gina Carano. (Movie #7, 1/25/2012, C-)

I'm learning to use my hands as an ocarina because of this movie. It's not as easy as it looks. (Movie #6, 1/18/2012, C)

The state of Hawaii has 25% white people; this movie had a 99% white cast. I am a newfound fan of Judy Greer though. (Movie #2, 1/2/2012, B-)

The best part of this was the use of Leona Lewis. "You cut me open and I keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love" (Movie #4, 1/6/2012, C-)

Shah Wharton Mr Kutcher lost my respect - thought he was all good too! Ho hum.. Haven't seen this - any good?
J.A. Yang I much preferred Friends With Benefits! And I love Portman too...
Much better than No Strings Attached. JT and MK actually have chemistry and a friendship to risk. (Movie #5, 1/6/2012, B-)

Shah Wharton Oh this looks good :)
J.A. Yang This is so good, altho I can see the mixed reactions.
It's probably best to watch the original with this together as a set piece. (Movie #3, 1.4.2012, B+)

Shah Wharton I read all the books and loved them - my hubs saw this without me (bad man!!) but I do intend to see this soon. He said it was really good. It might not be as exhilarating for me as I know whats going to happen, but still - Daniel Craig will keep me happy :)
Fetching pins…
Christopher Ueda Friend said it was pretty good...
J.A. Yang Your friend was wrong. It was not good, sadly.
