Australia-based tactile typographer Dominique Falla recently created a large scale typographic piece using Illustrator, thousands of pins and hundreds of meters of string! Called Relax and Unwind, it was one of two pieces she made for Strutten’s Square One exhibition, an event that pays homage to Brisbane creatives.

Sha Hwang @Stephen Coles hey look! fonts dating!
Stephen Coles It's a beautifully made site. I keep telling people that there is no hard science behind font pairing, but Aura proves there is an art.
Justin Edmund Really @Brynn Shepherd? Tell her I said cheers!
Hungarian designer Martzi Hegedűs has created a single typeface, titled Frustro, on the sole premise of making it impossible. Based on the illusion of the Penrose triangle (which is by definition, an impossible object whose creator deemed it “impossibility in its purest form”) the type appears to be facing two different directions simultaneously.

HIGHWAY, a typeface by Dan Cassaro, is an attempt to capture the charm of hand-done early to mid-century Futura clones, the kind of beautiful lettering that happens when a human hand tries to recreate something mechanical. Created during (and inspired by) a cross-country roadtrip, Highway may very well be the first typeface created in the back of a camper. At $35, this is a steal. Will buy soon.

Moritz Resl shows what a font would look like if it consisted of all typefaces installed on his system, including the ugly ones. He drew every character from a to z using over 900 fonts in a low opacity.
