Sharon Thurston That's cool. How'd they do it?
Jennifer Morris Prob one shot with the person standing there, then another shot of just the shoes and merged in Photoshop.
backdrop storage... genius! "I don't want to use the black bar that comes with my backdrop stand anymore. So we will drill holes in the PVC that the drop will be velcro'ed to and I can litterally take the PVC out of my holder cart, unroll it and then place the PVC right up on my backdrop stand. The pointed parts of the stand will poke right through the holes in the PVC and hold it up there. When I'm done with that drop I will take that tube off and then roll up the drop around it and put it back in my cart and grab the next one. :) I will take pics of the whole process when we do it and post them."

Great example: On the left is a wide-angle shot of her (28mm) and on the right a longer shot (85mm). This is a good example of why to use long lenses for portraits (above 50mm). It's so much more flattering.

Simple portrait setup. You can use an automotive window shade - the pop out kind - which are super cheap at the auto parts store.
